The Context

Studio Balance is a photography brand founded by an independent photographer. Alongside her photographic work, she organizes Portfolio Builder, a series of hands-on photography workshops where participants can work with models, experiment with studio photography and develop their portfolios in a creative environment.

The Challenge

The challenge was to create a distinctive visual identity for a workshop series aimed at a visually conscious, creative audience. The communication needed to feel as inspiring as the experience itself, standing apart from conventional educational event graphics. At the same time, it had to remain connected to Studio Balance's visual language while giving Portfolio Builder a recognizable character of its own.

The Approach

I approached Portfolio Builder as a creative event rather than a traditional photography course, developing a visual direction that reflects its experimental character. The identity was designed as a flexible system, extending across key visuals, printed materials, social media and 3D animation. This allowed the workshop series to maintain a consistent presence across different formats while leaving room for variation and visual expression.
