The Challenge
The challenge was to create an identity that reflects both sides of REMIZ: technical precision and a considered approach to design. The logo also needed to work beyond digital and printed applications. As Remiz signs its custom elevator interiors with logos cut from metal, the construction had to account for physical production from the very beginning. Every element needed to be visually distinctive, but also practical to manufacture.
The Approach
The symbol was developed from a simple architectural volume, resembling a three-storey building viewed in orthographic projection. By removing sections of its side walls, the form becomes more abstract, subtly referencing the letters E and M while introducing sharp angles reminiscent of folded sheet metal. The wordmark is integrated directly into the symbol, creating a compact, structural composition. Its bold, condensed letterforms maintain a connection to the company's previous identity, while the spacing above the lower edge is a deliberate production decision. It allows the logo to be cut from metal and used as a physical signature on Remiz's custom elevator interiors. The result is an identity shaped by the same principles as the company's work: precision, functionality and attention to material. Rather than simply looking industrial, the logo is designed to exist within that environment.
